Social Media Username Generator for Names, Handles and Bios

Made for Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Snapchat, YouTube and the big gaming platforms. Pick where you are posting, say a little about yourself, and get usernames, display names and bios that actually fit. Every suggestion is checked against that platform’s own character rules before you see it.

Social Media Username, Name and Bio Generator

Three tabs below: usernames, display names and bios. Pick your platform, say a little about yourself, and get ready-to-use options in seconds.

The clearer you are, the more the result sounds like you. Example: "I am a fitness coach in Lahore, I teach home workouts and build plans for beginners."

Vibe or niche

Generate runs instantly. The AI button reads your description and writes fresh options.

Three things it makes for your social media profile

Most generators throw random letters at you. This one starts from your name, your niche and your own description, then filters the result through the rules of the platform you chose.

Usernames

The handle people type to find you. Lowercase, no spaces, and within the character limit of Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Free Fire, BGMI, Roblox and the rest.

Display names

The name shown above your posts. Spaces, capitals and light decoration are allowed here, so this is where you can have some fun.

Bios

Short profile lines in English, Roman Urdu, Urdu or Hindi. Tell the tool what you do and it writes lines that sound like a person, not an advert.

How the social media name generator works

1

Choose your platform

Each one has its own rules. Discord will not take two dots in a row. Free Fire stops at 12 characters. The tool applies them for you.

2

Describe yourself

One or two honest sentences in the box is enough. The more specific you are, the less generic the result.

3

Generate and copy

Results appear instantly, offline. The AI button reads your description and writes fresh options when you want something more personal.

Username limits on each social media platform

These are the limits the tool enforces. Where a platform publishes the rule itself, it is marked confirmed. Where it does not, we use a practical cap and say so rather than guessing.

Platform Characters Allowed Source
Discord 2 to 32 a-z, 0-9, underscore, dot (no two dots together) Confirmed
TikTok 2 to 24 a-z, 0-9, dot, underscore Confirmed
Roblox 3 to 20 a-z, 0-9, underscore Confirmed
Minecraft (Java) 3 to 16 a-z, 0-9, underscore Confirmed
Twitch 4 to 25 a-z, 0-9, underscore Confirmed
Fortnite 3 to 16 Most characters Confirmed
Valorant 3 to 16 Most characters Confirmed
PUBG and BGMI up to 16 Most characters Confirmed
Free Fire up to 12 Most characters Confirmed
Xbox up to 12 Most characters Confirmed
Steam up to 32 Most characters Confirmed
Facebook up to 50 Most characters Confirmed
Instagram up to 30 a-z, 0-9, dot, underscore Not published
YouTube up to 30 Most characters Not published
Snapchat 3 to 15 a-z, 0-9, dot, underscore, hyphen Not published

Platforms change their rules without announcing it. If a name is refused, generate again with a shorter base word.

Social media bios in four languages

Bios can be written in English, Roman Urdu, Urdu script or Hindi. The Urdu and Hindi lines are written properly in their own script, not transliterated word by word, so they read naturally to someone who speaks the language. Usernames stay in Latin letters because that is what the platforms accept.

Every platform, rule by rule

Each card shows what that platform actually allows, where the number comes from, and what the generator does about it. The example shapes show the pattern that fits inside the limit, not names we have checked for availability.

IG

Instagram usernames and bios

UsernameUp to 30
Alloweda-z 0-9 . _
Display nameSeparate, symbols allowed
Limit sourceNot published

Instagram is the one platform where the handle and the display name do different jobs. The handle is what people type and what shows in the URL, so short and typo-proof wins. The display name is indexed by Instagram search, which is why so many accounts put their niche there rather than a nickname. If you bake, “zoya | karachi bakes” finds more people than “zoya_official”.

Example shapeszoya.bakeszoya.cothezoya
TT

TikTok usernames and bios

Username2 to 24
Alloweda-z 0-9 . _
Display nameSeparate, symbols allowed
Limit sourceConfirmed

TikTok shows your handle under every video, usually at a small size on a moving background. That punishes long names and lookalike characters. Pick something a viewer can read in the second it takes to decide whether to follow you. Dots read more cleanly than underscores at that size.

Example shapeszoya.editszoya.clipszoyaa
DC

Discord usernames and display names

Username2 to 32
Alloweda-z 0-9 _ .
Display nameSeparate, 1 to 32
Limit sourceConfirmed

Discord splits the two properly. Your username is the unique lowercase handle people use to add you. Your display name is what servers actually show, and it accepts spaces, capitals and symbols. So keep the username plain and put the personality in the display name. The one rule that trips people up is that two dots cannot sit next to each other, which the tool filters out for you.

Example shapeszoya.ggzoya_playsitz.zoya
SC

Snapchat usernames

Username3 to 15
Alloweda-z 0-9 . _ –
Display nameSeparate display name
Limit sourceNot published

A Snapchat username is close to permanent in practice, and friends often type it from memory or read it off a screen. That makes clarity worth more than cleverness here. Avoid strings where a capital I, a lowercase l and the number 1 sit together, because nobody will get it right the first time.

YT

YouTube handles and channel names

UsernameUp to 30
AllowedMost characters
Display nameChannel name is separate
Limit sourceNot published

YouTube gives you a handle for the URL and a separate channel name shown on the video page. The channel name is the one viewers remember and the one that appears in search, so it is worth spending your keyword there instead of on the handle. Keep the handle close to the channel name so people who hear it can find you.

FB

Facebook names and page titles

UsernameUp to 50
AllowedMost characters
Display nameReal-name policy
Limit sourceConfirmed

Facebook is the most generous on length and the strictest on tone. It is a real-name network, so heavily decorated names get flagged more often here than anywhere else. If you want styling, put it on a page rather than a personal profile.

Example shapesZoya KhanZoya BakesZoya K
TW

Twitch usernames

Username4 to 25
Alloweda-z 0-9 _
Display nameDisplay name casing only
Limit sourceConfirmed

A Twitch name gets read aloud constantly, by you in your own stream and by anyone raiding you. If it cannot be said out loud in one go, it will not travel. Numbers on the end are the usual fallback when a name is taken, but a different word almost always sounds better than a birth year.

Example shapeszoyaplayszoya_livezoyastream
FF

Free Fire names

UsernameUp to 12
AllowedMost characters
Display nameOne name only
Limit sourceConfirmed

Free Fire has the tightest limit of any platform here, and it counts every character including spaces and symbols. Twelve characters disappear fast, so the tool trims the base word before adding anything decorative rather than handing you a name the game will refuse to save.

Example shapesZoyaOPzoya666ProZoya
BG

PUBG and BGMI names

UsernameUp to 16
AllowedMost characters
Display nameClan tag is separate
Limit sourceConfirmed

Sixteen characters is enough for a short word plus a clan tag, which is how most squads use it. Decide the tag first and generate the name around what is left, otherwise you will have to cut the part you actually liked.

Example shapesZoyaSniperzoya_ytAceZoya
RB

Roblox usernames

Username3 to 20
Alloweda-z 0-9 _
Display nameDisplay name is separate
Limit sourceConfirmed

Roblox allows only letters, numbers and a single underscore, which rules out most of the decorated styles people arrive looking for. It also has a young audience and active moderation, so anything borderline is more likely to be rejected here than elsewhere. Plain and readable is the safe path.

Example shapeszoya_buildszoyaplayszoya07
MC

Minecraft usernames

Username3 to 16
Alloweda-z 0-9 _
Display nameOne name only
Limit sourceConfirmed

Minecraft Java names sit above your head in-game and in every server chat line, so length is felt more than on most platforms. Sixteen characters is the ceiling and no symbols are allowed at all, which is why the tool switches to underscores instead of dots when you pick Minecraft.

Example shapeszoya_mineZoyaCraftzoya_07
FN

Fortnite and Valorant names

Username3 to 16
AllowedMost characters
Display nameValorant adds a tagline
Limit sourceConfirmed

Both cap at 16 characters and both put your name next to a kill feed, where it is read at a glance under pressure. Short beats clever. Valorant also pairs your name with a tagline, so you have a second slot for the part that would not fit.

Example shapesZoyaAcezoya.ggZoyaClutch
SX

Steam and Xbox names

Username32 / 12
AllowedMost characters
Display nameSteam name is free to change
Limit sourceConfirmed

Steam is the most relaxed on this list at 32 characters, and it lets you change your display name freely, so it is a good place to experiment. Xbox is the opposite, with only 12 characters and a change that usually costs money after the first one. Generate for Xbox first and reuse the name on Steam, not the other way round.

How we check these limits

Character limits are the part of a page like this most likely to be wrong, because platforms change them quietly and most articles copy each other. Here is exactly how the numbers above were produced, so you can judge them yourself.

  • Documented first. Where a platform publishes the rule itself, the number comes from that page and the row is marked Confirmed.
  • Checked in the product. For the games, the limit is taken from the name field itself, which stops accepting input at the cap.
  • Never guessed. Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat do not publish a username limit. Those rows say Not published, and the generator uses a practical cap instead of inventing a number.
  • Enforced in code. The same rules run inside the generator, so a suggestion that would break on your platform never reaches you. Output from the AI button goes through the identical check.
  • No availability claims. None of these platforms offers a public way to see whether a handle is free, so this page does not pretend to know.

Questions people ask

Does it check whether a username is free?

No, and any tool that claims to is guessing. Instagram, TikTok, Discord and Snapchat do not offer a public way to check availability, so we do not pretend to. Copy a name you like and try it on the platform itself.

Is the AI button free to use?

Yes. There is a daily cap so one visitor cannot use up the allowance, and the ordinary Generate button has no limit at all. If the AI is busy, Generate still works.

Do I have to fill in the description box?

Only for bios, and even then it is optional. Leave it empty and you get general lines for your chosen vibe. Fill it in and the result starts sounding like you.

Why do some names get shortened?

Because the platform you picked would reject them. A 20-character name is fine on Steam and impossible on Free Fire, so the tool trims it rather than handing you something that will not save.

Can I use these names commercially?

Yes. Nothing here is trademarked by us. Do check that the name you pick is not already someone else’s brand before you build an audience on it.
