Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 September 2026

This policy explains what Name Styler (namestyler.cloud) collects, what it does not collect, and who else is involved. It is written to describe what this site actually does, not to cover things it does not do.

Who runs this site

Name Styler is operated by the Name Styler team. You can reach us through our contact page.

What the name tools do with what you type

This is the part most visitors care about, so it comes first.

  • The font and name generators run entirely in your browser. The text you type is converted to Unicode styles by JavaScript on your own device. It is never sent to our server, never saved, and never logged.
  • The username checkers do send the name you type. To answer “is this name taken”, the Minecraft checker sends that username to Mojang’s public API and the Roblox checker sends it to Roblox’s public API. We pass on only the username, we show you the answer, and we do not store the names you check.
  • Checker answers may be cached on our server for a short period to reduce load on those APIs. The cache holds the public result, not any information about you.

What we collect

When you use the contact form

Our contact page uses Contact Form 7. When you submit it, we receive the name, email address and message you entered, so that we can reply. We keep these messages only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand which pages are used and how people arrive. This records things like the pages you visit, approximate location (country or city level), device type, browser and referring site. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs, which include IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps and user-agent strings. These are used for security and troubleshooting.

Comments

If you leave a comment, we store what you submit along with your IP address and browser user-agent. Comments are screened by Akismet, an anti-spam service, which processes that information to decide whether a comment is spam.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses:

  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Performance cookies used by our caching system to serve pages faster.
  • WordPress cookies, which only apply if you log in or leave a comment.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The name tools will still work.

Other services involved

  • Google Fonts – fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager – see Google’s privacy policy.
  • Mojang (Minecraft) and Roblox – only when you use those checkers, and only the username you entered.
  • Akismet – only for comment spam filtering.
  • Our web host, which processes requests to serve the site.

What we never do

  • We do not sell or rent your data.
  • We do not require an account, and we do not ask for passwords.
  • We do not store the names, bios or text you style with our generators.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to ask for a copy, to ask us to correct or delete it, or to object to how it is used. Write to us through the contact page and we will respond.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
